Pink Pom Poms®

Cercis canadensis

Pink Pom Poms is a rarity among Cercis varieties in that it features true double flowers. The extra petals compared with the more usual single flowers gives a more intense concentration of pink-purple colour.

While the blossom is stunning, the large heart-shaped leaves which emerge after the blossom are also a feature. They start out a light copper colour, becoming glossy green over the summer, before turning yellow in the autumn.

A further benefit of Pink Pom Poms is that the double flowers are sterile, so there are no seed pods.
