Cercis canadensis

Vanilla Twist is a pleasing small Cercis with spreading weeping branches, covered in spring with masses of small white flowers.

The blossom is followed by pale lime green leaves for the summer and autumn.

History

Vanilla Twist is a cross between the weeping Cercis variety Lavender Twist (Covey) and the white-flowered variety Royal White.  It was introduced by Brotzman Nursery in Ohio, which also commercialised Lavender Twist.
