Columnaris

Prunus sargentii
Prunus sargentii flowering cherry blossom

As the name suggests, Columnaris is a more erect form of Prunus sargentii, less spreading and slightly less vigorous than the original. It also has more dramatic golden red autumn colours.

In other respects it is similar to Prunus sargentii, easy to grow, with a mass of pink blossom.
