Trailblazer

Prunus cerasifera

Trailblazer is an ornamental cherry-plum (Prunus cerasifera) which is primarily grown for its attractive bronze leaves and simple white blossom. However it will usually produce a light crop of small dark red cherry plums. These can be cooked, and have a pleasant sweet flavour if left to ripen on the tree.
