Tamukeyama is one of the best examples of dissected-leaf Japanese acers. It features red dissected leaves which become dark purple, before turning dark red and scarlet in the autumn.
Tamukeyama is slow-growing but likely to reach about 3m in the longer term.

Tamukeyama is easy to grow, but prefers well-drained soil and a sheltered situation with some partial shade. It is a suitable for growing in large patio containers.
Tamukeyama was introduced in the early 18th century.
