Felix Jury is one of the most popular Magnolias, and deservedly so. It features enormous deep pink scented flowers, which can be 20cm-30cm across. Flowering occurs over a period of about 3 weeks, with the flowers borne ahead of the leaves.
Despite the size of the flowers, the tree itself is fairly small and compact by Magnolia standards, with a pleasing tidy appearance..
Magnolia 'Felix Jury' is sometimes known simply as 'Felix'. It was developed in New Zealand by Mark Jury, and named after his father. It is a cross between Magnolia 'Atlas' and Magnolia 'Vulcan' and is also known as JURmag2.
