Pink Cascade

Robinia x margaretta

Pink Cascade is named for its profusion of pink / mauve pea-like scented flowers, which appear in long tresses in June.

The tree looks attractive throughout the spring and summer, mainly due to the attactive frond-like pinnate leaves.

History

Pink Cascade is a hybrid of Robinia pseudoacacia, and inherits many of that species qualities, including its dense hard acacia-like wood. Although pruning is not usually necessary, it can be hard-pruned and coppiced if required.
