Flower-pot

A traditional flower-pot is circular, and wider at the top than the bottom. This type of pot is not usually suitable for planting fruit trees because it is too unstable.

Rectangular planter

Square or rectangular planters are the best option if you want to grow a fruit tree in a container. Make sure the height is at least 30cm-40cm to ensure adequate depth of soil for the tree roots. For maximum stability the length and / or width should ideally be greater than the height.

Cylindrical container

Cylindrical planters and containers are circular and the diameter of the top and the base are the same. Make sure the height is at least 30cm-40cm to ensure adequate depth of soil for the tree roots. For maximum stability the diameter should ideally be greater than the height.
